Stuck for where to get your next caffeine fix in Gloucestershire? Here are my favourite coffee shops in Cheltenham!
The Coffee Dispensary, Regent Street
Whether you’re a coffee connoisseur or prefer a chai latte, The Coffee Dispensary is genuinely one of the best coffee shops to try in Cheltenham. Not only do they serve an excellent brew, they do amazing food and you can even buy roasted coffee there to take home and recreate your favourite drinks! One of my favourite go-to orders is an açai breakfast bowl and oatmilk dirty chai latte!
Scandinavian Coffee Pod, Royal Well Place
Another excellent choice if unique speciality coffee is your thing! This is one of the more hidden coffee shops in Cheltenham but it is well worth making the short walk to visit. Set just behind the Royal Well bus station, they have gorgeous interiors and arguably one of the best cups of coffee in Cheltenham. Also, a huge plus is that their oat milk has no extra charge!
Clementine, Montpellier
Montpellier has an array of coffee shops but Clementine is one of my favourites! They also have a really great brunch menu, and I’m told reliably by a friend that their ice cream is some of the best in Cheltenham! If you happen to be in Gloucester, you can also try out Clementine as there is another near the Cathedral.
Boston Tea Party, Clarence Street
An ever-popular chain, Boston Tea Party in Cheltenham makes you feel like a local from the moment you walk in. Excellent service and a brilliant brunch menu only add to the great cup of coffee you can expect here. At BTP, they’re trying to minimise single-use cups so if you want a takeaway coffee make sure you take your own cup or they have plenty to buy or loan once there.
Woodkraft, Regent Street
One of my absolute favourites at any time of day! Whether you want a savoury or sweet brunch to accompany your coffee, Woodkraft has an amazing choice! Their coffee is delicious and their food is even better! From 2015 Masterchef winner Simon Wood, this “artisan eatery” is not to be missed!
The Find, Regent Street
Regent Street is the street of dreams for foodies and The Find is just another of the brilliant choices if you’re looking for somewhere to get a caffeine fix whilst in Cheltenham! If hot chocolate is more your thing, don’t miss The Find’s luxury hot chocolate! Their kids’ version is a huge hit in our house! As far as coffee shops in Cheltenham go, you can’t really go wrong with The Find!

The Urban Meadow, Rodney Road
Hidden in plain sight, The Urban Meadow offers a quiet retreat from the busy high street. With fantastic bagels and brunch options, make sure you stop by for more than just coffee. Their sister cafe, The Meadow at Coxes Meadow is just as worthy a visit if you’re not in the town centre.
Suffolk Coffee, Suffolk Parade
Although it is one of the newer coffee shops in Cheltenham to open, Suffolk Coffee is well worth a trip if you’re in that part of town. A husband-and-wife team have created a lovely space and make an excellent cup of coffee! They also use Ritual Roasters beans which for coffee fans is brilliant news as it’s another local stop where you can sample their delicious coffee! Perfect if you’re looking for somewhere to get a bit of work done, or maybe finish that last chapter of your book!
Baker and Graze, Suffolk Road
Award-winning cafe, bakery and restaurant. It’s obvious why Baker and Graze is such a popular spot with locals. Their sourdough bread makes for some of the tastiest toast you are likely to try! They also have a great outdoor seating area so on those hot summer days, be sure to trade in your coffee for the iced variety and you won’t be disappointed! And if you really need another reason to go, have you seen the picture of their cruffins!?
Cocolina Coffee, off Bath Road
Nestled in the courtyard of Bath Road car park, Cocolina Coffee is one of the best places to get coffee in Cheltenham. My absolute favourite is the dirty chai with oat milk! Owner Megan has created a beautiful space in the courtyard with the bonus addition of a secret garden! With delicious cakes and pastries available from local bakeries too, the snacks are yet another reason to visit Cocolina soon!
Bake & Brew, Bath Road
If you’re pre or post school run, or just happen to find yourself on Bath Road in search of coffee, Bake & Brew is an excellent choice! A friendly atmosphere and tasty coffee is sure to await you, and if you’re feeling hungry, they have a fab choice of food on their menu too!
Arc.Espresso.Deli, Gloucester Road
Based opposite the train station, this is the perfect coffee shop for those commuting in or out of Cheltenham. It’s also well worth a visit if you’re not in need of the train station! Speciality coffee is on the menu, as are some incredible looking pastries and cakes! I can’t wait to try their famed babka!
Botanica Kitchen, Bramery Business Park
Just off Alstone Lane in the Lansdown area of Cheltenham, this coffee shop is a little slice of paradise waiting to be discovered! A menu filled with the best local produce, their coffee is also next-level! I love their chai latte – surprise, surprise! Honestly though, it’s one of the best I’ve had and this place also has parking making it a great place to meet if you don’t want to head into Cheltenham town centre!
